Le deuxieme est une conversion du wagon brittanique, muni au SNCF apres 1945 en remplacement des wagons detruites durant le guerre. Cet adaptation etait pour le transport du ballast. Photo 2 is interesting because it shows that typical BR fittings have been used - for the axleboxes & buffers. The screw coupling is a continental fitting. The modification shows that the diagonal stripe, to indicate the end which has an end door, was on the originals, as was the V to indicate there are bottom doors.
